If swimming with sharks, including man-eaters, is something on your bucket list, you don’t have to travel very far to cross it off.

Out of Point Judith, Rhode Island, Snappa Charters offers not only shark fishing, but also shark cage diving.

Skipper of the 46-footer is Captain Charlie Donilon.  Donilon said on his charters you could see a wide range of sharks, including Blues, Makos, Threshers, and even the occasional Hammerhead if the water is warm.

Although many divers prefer to swim freely, Donilon makes sure his shark cage is always in the water.

The cage has room for 3, it’s built of anodized aluminum, and it’s completely shark proof.  When asked if it could hold up against a Great White, Donilon said, “I’ve never had the experience, but I think it would be fine, I talk to people that go to Africa, and they say their cage isn't half of that (cage)."

Donilon claimed in the 30 or so years he’s been taking shark diving charters out, only a few divers were bitten…mostly nipped…but in the cage, not one diver has been bitten.
