Residents along Charter Oak Avenue in East Haven were saddened, but many were not surprised by Friday morning’s plane crash.
“They fly in very low and a lot of the time you can hear the engine cut off before it gets to the runway,” one resident told Fox Connecticut.
Morgan Cianelli lives close to the crash site, ” my mother just heard a huge bang,” she said.
Others reported feeling their homes shake from the impact.
Faith leaders in East Haven will hold a prayer vigil for residents to reflect on their loss at 7 pm Saturday evenig in Mary Tucker Park.
