EAST HAVEN – The two homes on Charter Oak Avenue damaged when a plane crashed there on Friday are set to be demolished this week. Four people died in the accident, including two children living at 64 Charter Oak Ave., the pilot and his teenage son.

Police identified the victims of the crash as Sade Brantley, 13, Madisyn Mitchell 1, pilot Bill Henningsgaard, 54, and his son, Maxwell, 17. A vigil was held in East Haven Saturday for the two young girls. Their mother, Joann Mitchell, was inside the home at the time but escaped without injury.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the crash and is expected to release a preliminary report late this week or next week.
