Fried butter. Fried kool-aid. The crazy burger. The cream puffs.
You probably know where we’re going with this.
The Big E is just weeks away, and on Friday, in West Springfield, the Big E staff offered a chance to sample some of the highly caloric menu items.
For 2013, not to be out done by the Craz-e Burger, will be the “Craz-e Breakfast Sandwich” which consists of eggs and bacon or sausage topped with cheese then served between a glazed doughnut.
New this year is also the “baconana” – a dipped chocolate banana rolled in bacon bits and, from the fryer, deep fried strawberry shortcake.
“People come to the fair to eat the craziest stuff they can find,” said Big E Manager of Food and Beverage, Maureen Jordan.
Sue Lavoie the Big E’s Vice President said “the Big E’s known for a lot of things but the big question is when people are coming here is what is the new food and what is the new entertainment.”
The Big E Begins On September 13 and lasts for 17 days.
