If you commute to and from West Haven, you’ll be happy to know that Sunday a new Metro-North station opened there. It’s along the New Haven Line and is located on Railroad Avenue near Sawmill Road.
The station has two platforms, and parking is free until Sept. 1, which is when customers will need to purchase parking permits.
A grand opening event is scheduled for Monday at noon with Gov. Dannel P. Malloy and Lt. gov. Nancy Wyman attending.
