NEWINGTON — Police are asking for the public’s help in solving an armed robbery Sunday night.
No one was injured in the holdup, which happened about 9:50 p.m. at the Shell gas station, 1593 Southeast Road, police said. The robber, who had a gun, left with an undisclosed amount of money.
A police dog followed his scent to a nearby shopping plaza.
He was about 6 feet tall and was wearing a gray, short-sleeved shirt with a collar, black pants, a black face mask and black gloves, police said.
