Boy Seriously Injured When Bike And Car Collide In Manchester

MANCHESTER — A 14-year-old bicyclist was seriously injured when he and a vehicle collided on Oakland Street late Monday night, police said.

The accident happened about 11:40 p.m. as the boy was crossing the intersection with Sheldon Road. He was transported to the Connecticut Children’s Medical Center, police said.

The accident is being investigated by the police department’s traffic unit and the regional Metro Traffic Services reconstruction team.
