Water Main Leaks Fixed In Hartford

HARTFORD – Crews have repaired two water main leaks that were reported early Tuesday, according to the Metropolitan District Commission.

The leaks were at the intersection of Plainfield and Line streets and on Cornwall Street and were reported around 3:30 a.m. A total of 13 homes were affected as well as a school in the area. Two crews worked to make the repairs which were completed shortly before 5:30 a.m., according to the MDC.

The Plainfield Street water main dates back to 1920 and the main on Cornwall Street was constructed in 1950.
