Motorcyclist Seriously Injured In Farmington Crash

FARMINGTON — A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash that closed a portion of Route 4 for more than three hours Wednesday, police said.

The accident was reported just before 4 p.m.

A 50-year-old man who was the operator of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries to the head and legs, according to police. The driver of a car involved in the crash was uninjured, police said.

The man was taken to Hartford Hospital. His name was not released Wednesday night.
Anyone with information about the accident is asked to call police at 860-675-2400.

Route 4, also called Collinsville Road, was closed from Route 179 in Burlington to River Road in Farmington until about 7:30 p.m.
