Hartford Police Investigate Carjacking, Street Robbery

HARTFORD — Police are investigating a carjacking and street robbery that took place early Monday.

Around 1:30 a.m. a person had their car stolen at gunpoint in the area of Park and Laurel streets by several men including one armed with a shotgun, police said. Nobody was injured in the robbery and the suspects fled in the victim’s car.

A street robbery took place about 20 minutes later in the area of 127 Girard Ave. and police believe the two incidents may be connected.

Police said the stolen car was a green 1997 Nissan Maxima.
