West is a Southington native and the first state resident to win the Miss Teen USA competition. The 19-year old hopes to use the forum to raise awareness and funds to support her national educational foundation: “Unite Against Bullies Today.”
The mission of the Connecticut USA Extravaganza Pageant is to help both girls and boys develop self-confidence, poise, public speaking and interview skills, a sense of fashion, modeling experience, develop a special talent, and get an appreciation for community service. Contestants will compete in evening attire, swimwear, on-stage question, and judge interviews.
West and other world-class experts will be on hand to provide tips on modeling, public speaking, and interview techniques.
