A domestic dispute, between a husband and wife last night in Mystic, resulted in the woman sustaining a stab wound to her neck and the husband fighting for his life.
Just after 10:30 last night, Stonington Police received multiple 911 calls reporting the argument. When they arrived on scene, police noticed the apartment the couple lives in above their garage was on fire. That blaze was today ruled arson.
Police have not released the identity of the couple involved in the dispute, but neighbors of the Meadowbrook Lane residents confirm media reports that the husband is Brian Marshall and his wife is Adrienne Marshall.
“All I heard her saying was he cut my throat, over and over again. And that was chilling because it was loud,” said Larry Luketich, a neighbor of the couple.
Amero-Marshall is in fair condition at Lawrence & Memorial Hospital in New London. Her husband is in critical condition at Yale-New Haven Hospital with injuries sustained from jumping out of the second floor apartment when it ignited.
