HARTFORD — City firefighters Saturday night extricated a person briefly trapped in a vehicle involved in a two-car crash at Farmington Avenue and Prospect Avenue, at the West Hartford line.

One of the vehicles was a Hartford public-works SUV. A desk sergeant late Saturday night was unable to confirm whether any charges had been filed against the driver of the city vehicle.

Police officers blocked off the streets as the occupant was being removed. Two people were injured. The crash occurred shortly after 9:30 p.m. Hartford and West Hartford emergency personnel responded.
