State Launches New College Scholarship

ChetState Treasurer Denise Nappier is announcing the launch of a new scholarship today to help make college more affordable for Connecticut students.

The Connecticut Higher Education Trust (CHET) Advance scholarship will hold random drawings providing up to 200 state high school seniors with a $2,500 scholarship, for a total of $500,000 in aid.

“For students with the drive to attend college, CHET Advance offers them an opportunity to realize their dream,” Nappier said in a statement on the CHET Advance website. “It will assist students to go as far as their talents will take them.”
