Patriot games have begun again in Boston. After 12 years and a multi-million dollar renovation, the Americana attraction known as the Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum is, once again, welcoming visitors and bringing them back in time – 240 years to be exact.
“We want to make sure people know the Boston Tea Party was the single most important event that led to the American Revolution,” said Shawn P. Ford, the longtime Director of the Museum.
Visitors start in the meeting house where patriots like Samuel Adams and Paul Revere ask the crowd to join the crusade against British tyranny.
Guests are then led to full-size replicas of the famed tall ships, the Eleanor and the Beaver, where they take part in an emotionally charged Tea Party reenactment.
“Not only is this a wonderful adventure, “said Ford, “it also is a completely immersive experience.”
Before the tour ends, guests watch an acclaimed short film called “Let it Begin Here”, which recounts the events that led to the American Revolution.
The Boston Tea Party Museum floats just off the Congress Street Bridge in Boston.
