It is only fitting that the Eastern States Exhibition — The Big E — opens on a FriDay, because fry they will for the next 17 days.
The six-state fair is up and running with rides, entertainment and plenty of places to put on the pounds.
The good weather can’t hurt– fair organizers are hoping to attract 1.3 million visitors over the next 17 days.
“It’s a fabulous opening day,” said Noreen Tassinari, the Big E’s Marketing Director. “The Big E is a tradition for New Englanders”.
David Giuliano, visiting the West Springfield Fairgrounds from Glastonbury said, “just the atmosphere, I like everything about it. ”
