HARTFORD— Two suspects are in police custody after the execution of a search warrant Wednesday led to a police pursuit into Glastonbury.

City police executed a search warrant in a drug-related investigation near Park and Wadsworth streets Wednesday evening, according to Sgt. Glendaly Garcia of the Major Crimes division. Police also had an additional felony arrest warrant for one suspect, she said.

As police approached, a vehicle fled the area and led police in pursuit into Glastonbury where police broke off the chase, Garcia said.

Two suspects were later apprehended in Glastonbury after citizens called reporting a suspicious car, she said.

A SWAT team was on scene in Hartford as police conducted the search, which is routine for narcotics searches where drugs and guns may be involved, Glendaly said.

No one was injured in either the search or the pursuit, she said.
