Travelers published a consumer risk index report earlier this week to mark National Preparedness Month, and now Patrick Gee, a risk management expert with the insurance company, is giving some tips on how to protect you and your family’s privacy online.
“In the case of personal privacy there are a number of things people can do when they thin about protecting themselves from identify theft and some of the other issues,” gee said. “They need to take great care obviously whether it be with their physical goods, their wallet, their purse. They need to run their credit reports several times a year. you can do that through the three major agencies. Additionally, people need to stop and take stock when they’re online of what they’re actually sharing.
