I-84 In Waterbury Reopened After Tractor-Trailer Crash

WATERBURY – A portion of I-84 westbound in Waterbury has reopened after an earlier tractor-trailer crash, state police said.

A tractor-trailer struck a guardrail around 3 a.m. resulting in a fuel leak, police said. The crash has closed I-84 westbound between exit 21 and exit 19.

Police said nobody was injured in the crash and a detour has been set to get drivers back on the highway and also allowing access to Route 8.

A tow truck had arrived on the scene shortly before 4 a.m. The roadway was reopened by 6 a.m.
