A beautiful stretch of weather continues today, tomorrow, and into the first half of the weekend, with sunny, mild days and clear, cool nights. Expect showers early Sunday and a cooler start to next week.

High pressure anchored over the Delmarva Peninsula will continue to transport milder air as the wind becomes southwesterly this afternoon. Expect high temperatures to average in the upper 70s to near 80 under sunny skies today and tomorrow. The weather will be absolutely beautiful for fall festivities and at the Big E over the next couple of days.

Saturday will be a bit more humid under partly sunny skies, with temperatures in the low to mid-70s as clouds filter the sunshine and sea breezes keep temperatures cooler. A cold front will slowly cross the region late Saturday night into early Sunday with a band of showers. The day won’t be a complete washout however, as the showers will weaken as the system moves into our region. There are also signs that the front will cross the region early Sunday, followed by some clearing during the afternoon. Once the cold front crosses the region midday Sunday, a NW wind will take shape and usher cooler air back into the region.

Computer models were showing a storm developing along the southeast coast that would potentially spread rain in Connecticut by Tuesday and Wednesday next week. This morning the latest data suggested that the storm will stay well south of New England and we will continue to enjoy another beautiful week with sunny, mild days and clear, cool nights. Temperatures next week will be in the 60s and 70s, with early morning lows in the 40s. We may even see temperatures in the 30s in some towns.

Stay tuned to FOX CT for updates throughout the week and over the weekend.
