Robert Deliseo, chef at the Log Cabin Restaurant, used fresh, local ingredients to make Coffee Rubbed Flat Iron Steak, which consists of a 50/50 blend of coffee and steak seasonings. Coffee Rubbed Flat Iron Steak
Ingredients:
2 1/2 Tablespoons finely ground coffee
2 Teaspoons salt
1 Teaspoon black pepper
1 Teaspoon garlic
1 Teaspoon red pepper
1 Teaspoon coriander
1 Teaspoon onion (dehydrated)
2 8 oz. flat iron steaks
Olive Oil
Directions:
1. Prepare the coffee rub by mixing the dry ingredients together.
2. Coat the steaks in olive oil and rub with the coffee ground/steak seasoning mixture. Grill to perfection and enjoy.
