Officers learned about the stabbing about 11:40 p.m., when they got a call from Rockville General Hospital. The man, who was stabbed in the torso, was being treated by emergency room staff, police said; he is expected to survive.
Police found out the stabbing happened on North Park Street between 10 and 10:30 p.m. Thursday. The stabber is described as a man in his 30s who was wearing shorts and a dark sweatshirt. He is believed to have run from the scene, police said.
Anyone with information about the stabbing is asked to call police at 860-872-9126. Callers may remain anonymous, police said.
