Bell Dedicated To Sandy Hook Victims Stolen In New York

A bell dedicated to the victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was stolen from a playground in Island Park, New York.

Law enforcement authorities in Nassau County said the bell was stolen between 9 p.m. Saturday and 1 p.m. on Sunday from a playground at Masone Beach on Waterford Road.

The brass bell was 8 inches by 8 inches. It was inscribed with the number 26 and said “Every time a bell rings, an angel gets its wings.”

Anyone with information regarding this crime is asked to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
