The H.O.P.E. Foundation, which was founded in honor of coach Frank DiCocco, is dedicated to helping underprivileged student athletes. The organization is having a wine tasting fundraiser on Thursday, Oct. 10 at the Avon Old Farms Inn in Avon.

H.O.P.E. stands for helping other people excel. DiCocco was inspired to find a way to help provide for underprivileged athletes soon after he became a coach. Through a scholarship fund, the H.O.P.E. Foundation has helped send athletes to a character development program created by the NFL as well as to Camp Courant.
