Low pressure off the mid-Atlantic shoreline continued to crawl up the coast Thursday with the rain shield moving into Connecticut in the afternoon.  The heaviest rains will fall overnight into Friday morning with periods of light to moderate rain continuing Friday afternoon into the evening hours.  Rainfall amounts could reach 1”-2” by Friday morning with an additional inch by Friday night.

High pressure will slowly migrate south-southwest from eastern Canada and push the storm and its rain shield south and east, out to sea. The clouds will hang tough on Saturday with clearing skies on Sunday and mostly sunny skies for Monday, making for a beautiful Columbus Day Celebration.  So stay tuned to FOXCT for the latest updates

Friday: Periods of rain, breezy and chilly. High: 50s to possibly near 60.

Saturday: Mostly cloudy, some late day sunshine. High: 60-65.

Columbus Day: Partly to mostly sunny. Highs: 60s.
