NEW HAVEN — A 36-year-old man died Monday night after being shot in the street, police said.

About 9:20 p.m., a passerby saw a man lying on Ella T. Grasso Boulevard near Goffe Street and flagged down a police officer who was on his way to an unrelated call, police said.

Medics arrived about the same time, and the man, later identified as Nathaniel Bradley of New Haven, was transported to Yale-New Haven Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police have no information about a possible suspect. No one had reported a shooting, they said.

They are asking anyone with information about the homicide to call detectives at 203-946-6304. Calls may be made anonymously, police said.
