Do-it-yourself costumes
Costumes don’t have to break the bank. Use clothes and makeup you already have and create the costume with a few accessories. For example, achieve a Gatsby look by adding a feather headband and boa to a cocktail dress.
Store-bought costumes
If you go the store-bought route, it’s important to make sure you’ll stay warm. Many times, these costumes are shorter or made of lighter fabric than you anticipate, so wear some fun tights to stay warm throughout the night.
Family costumes
Make Halloween a family affair by choosing a theme and dressing up as a group.
Treat table
Use cauldrons to hold your chips and dip and other party treats. And have fun with food by making a seven-layer spider web dip and dessert graveyard to decorate the table.
Monster bar
For adult parties, create a “monster bar” filled with themed barware and Halloween-inspired drinks.
