Parts of the shoreline are in a moderate drought with abnormally dry conditions in southwestern Connecticut. This is the fifth driest October on record for Bridgeport.  A short term drought is nothing to get worried about. A good soaking rain could get us back to normal. But widespread rain remains elusive through at least the middle of next week. A shower is possible Saturday night. But not much. For now, more of the same.

Friday starts off frosty with sun, clouds and a northwest breeze.

Overnight: Clearing. Cool. Low: 29-38.  A frost advisory is in effect for Hartford County with a Freeze Watch for interior Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex and New London counties.

Friday: Sunshine mixing with afternoon clouds.  Breezy and cool. High: 50-55.

Friday night: The coldest night yet.  Low: Upper 20s and low 30s.

Saturday: Cold start. Sunshine fading behind increasing clouds. Chance for a shower at night. High: Low to mid 50s

Sunday: Mostly sunny. High: Low to mid 50s

Monday: Mostly sunny. High: Mid to upper 50s.

Tuesday: Mix sun & clouds. High: Mid to upper 50s.
