One Dead In Salisbury House Fire

SALISBURY – One woman died in a fire on Upper Road early Monday, police said.

Two adults escaped with minor injuries from the fire at 5 Upper Road, which was reported at 4:56 a.m., according to a release from the state police. One person jumped from a window to escape the flames.

Another adult woman was later found dead inside the building. She has not been publicly identified.

The house was completely destroyed by the fire. Local and state fire marshals are investigating.

Fire departments from several towns responded to the call.
