Just a few weeks ago what’s called the “Frost Ice Bar” opened, where, you guessed it, the place is pretty much made entirely of ice.
“Everything is made of ice except the ceiling and the floor,” said Grier Colella, the general manager of the Frost Ice Bar. “We have a giant swan in honor of the swan boats here in Boston . We have hanging ice. We have a chandelier and then we have a bunch of different sculptures to fill the space and make it more interesting.”
Inspired by an ice bar in Stockholm, the Frost Ice Bar took about four years to finally take its frozen shape, and, inside, it’s always 21 degrees.
The Frost Ice Bar at Faneuil Hall is open every day. Ticket prices vary depending on when you go, but during peak hours it’s $18.99 for adults, $16.99 for seniors and students, and $6 for kids 6-12. For more information, click here to go to Frost Ice Bar website.
