DayPlannerIt looks like the weather won’t be too scary for Halloween with highs nearing 60 degrees today. There’s a chance for a passing shower tonight but any heavy rain will hold off until Friday.

A warm front will slowly move across the area with the chance for a light passing shower this afternoon which should clear the area in time for trick-or-treating. It will be mostly dry and comfortable tonight.

The main bands of moderate to heavy rain will move through Connecticut Friday morning with upwards of an inch of rain and winds gusting to 40 to 50 mph, leading to a high wind watch for southeastern Connecticut tonight into tomorrow. Watch for falling wet leaves and branches during the Friday morning commute.

The cold front will clear the area by Friday afternoon and sun will return with highs nearing 70. But cooler air will make its way back for the weekend with highs near 60 on Saturday and around 50 on Sunday.

A secondary storm will begin developing on Saturday and move along the New England coastline into Sunday. Most of the precipitation should miss the state, but we may see some clouds.
