Coach Ed McCarthy and the West Haven Blue Devils are 7-1 on the year, and as usual right in the thick of the playoff hunt.
But their 49-7 win at Hamden had a little more meaning then than score would tell. That victory gave Coach McCarthy a Connecticut State record 322 wins.
Just as amazing the majority of those wins have come in a 31-year tenure at the same school. The total now stands at 323, and the Blue Devils look to get Coach number 324 this Friday at Home against the Daniel Hand Tigers.
