Cool air arrives in stages this weekend. Stage one arrives Saturday with high temperatures in the 40s along with a nice mix of sun and clouds. Stage two will arrive on Sunday with harsh cold that will remind you winter is around the corner. The arctic front bringing the big chill arrives Saturday night along with the chance for a snow shower. Winds will crank up on Sunday with gusts up to 40 mph and a wind chill in the single digits and teens. It will feel like zero or colder by Monday morning.
Tonight: Chance for showers, then late clearing. Lows: 34-39
Tomorrow: Partly cloudy to mostly sunny, cooler and breezy. High temperatures in the lower 40s.
Sunday: Cold and windy with a few flurries or snow showers. High temperatures in the upper 20s inland, low 30s for the shoreline. Wind chills in the teens and single digits. Gusts up to 35+ mph.
Monday: Partly cloudy, cold, not as windy. High temperatures in the middle to upper 30s.
Tuesday: Increasing clouds. High temperatures in the middle to upper 30s. Chance for a few flurries or a snow shower late day or at night.
Wednesday: Watching the possibility of a coastal storm, with gusty winds. Mainly rain is expected, but parts of the state could get a wintry mix. It’s too early to get into specifics with a storm 5 days away. There is too much uncertainty. But it’s certainly worth watching if you have any travel plans leading up to Thanksgiving.
