The combination of high pressure drifting off the New England coast and a weak warm front will deliver clouds Saturday night followed by light snow flurries and freezing drizzle early Sunday morning.  High pressure noses down out of eastern Canada for Monday with a mix of sun and clouds.

Meanwhile, a storm will be developing off the North Carolina coast Monday and begin to track northeast and intensify.  Current guidance suggests that the storm will move north-northeast and brush Connecticut with some light to moderate precipitation.  Since the cold air source needed for a snowstorm will not be there, the precipitation type will be mostly in the form of rain with a little snow to start.  However, since the storm is still a few days away, it bears watching and a lot could change during the next several days.

Extended Forecast:

Overnight: Increasing clouds. Low: 25-32.

Sunday:  Chance for spotty light flurries and freezing drizzle in the morning, otherwise cloudy during the afternoon.  High: 35-42.

Sunday night:  Mostly cloudy with the chance for a few sprinkles.  Low: 30

Monday:  Partly sunny.  High: 40-45.

Tuesday: Chance of rain with some light snow to start early.  High: low 40s.

Wednesday: Partly sunny. High in the mid 40s
