Sunday will be even cooler than Saturday with increasing clouds out ahead of some rain and snow. A Winter Weather Advisory will be in effect for much of Connect...
WinterWeather

TIMING: There may be a few flurries or light snow showers during the evening hours, but the bulk of it won’t move in until around midnight. During the early morning Monday we’ll have light snow mixing with sleet and freezing rain, and then mostly rain by sunrise. There’s not a lot of moisture with this system, so there shouldn’t be any heavy rain or snow.

ACCUMULATIONS: A coating to 2 inches, but with some light rain, it may be washed away. I think most of the state won’t be white by mid-day Monday. It likely won’t be worthy of shoveling.

IMPACT: This is certainly NOT a “bread and milk” storm. The only big impact could be the icy roads on Monday morning. If you’re headed out from midnight to 9 AM, it could be icy/slippery.
Power outage threat: Fairly low.

SCHOOL IMPACT: Delays? Probable for many towns away from the shoreline. Cancellations? Not likely at all.
