CROMWELL – I-91 northbound has reopened after an earlier tractor-trailer crash.
The crash, which was reported shortly before 7 a.m., had closed the highway between Exit 20 and Exit 21. Traffic is backed up for miles.
About 7:45 a.m., state Department of Transportation crews had pushed the tractor to the side of the road and were working to sand some lanes to get traffic moving north again.
A winter weather advisory is in effect and a mix of snow, sleet and rain has led to slippery roads and delayed openings for schools across the state.
