A Marlborough parent facing serious consequences for allegedly allowing kids to drink on his property.

State police said Paul Sibiga, 50, knew his teenage sons hosted a party involving alcohol with over two dozen teenage friends back in August.

A group of teenagers left the party and crashed their pickup in Hebron, less than a mile away, killing passenger Paige Houston, 17.

The get-together wasn’t at Sibiga’s home on North Parker Road, but was across the street and set back on 34 wooded acres he also owns.

Sibiga’s attorney stressed that point during his client’s arraignment on 28 counts each of 1st Degree Reckless Endangerment and Permitting A Minor To Illegally Possess Liquor In A Dwelling Or On Private Property.

“Something happens in your own property, that’s one thing, but if something’s alleged to have happened deep in the woods somewhere, it goes to what you were able to see, not see, what you have knowledge of,” Attorney Paul Melocowski said.

The 17-year-old driver in the car crash has also been charged, with First Degree Manslaughter.

State Police said his blood alcohol level was well above the legal limit, even for an adult.
