Five Businesses Burglarized In Branford Over The Weekend

BRANFORD — Seven local businesses have been burglarized in the last month, including five over the weekend, police said.

Police are looking for two men who may be driving a silver or gray pick-up truck, possibly a Dodge, according to a release from Branford police.

The thieves, who are after cash, have primarily targeted restaurants along the Route 1 corridor, the release states. They have gotten in through rear doors. Most of the businesses had alarms, and three of them had video surveillance systems.

The alarm was disabled at one business, the release states.

Similar burglaries have been committed in other nearby towns.
