During a private New Year’s eve party at the Downtown Cafe in Bristol. Someone tried to enter the closed establishment. Paul Murdock, owner of The Downtown Cafe asked the unidentified person that the bar was closed for a private party.

The person then attempted to enter the bar and when asked to leave again the man pulled out a knife and stabbed Murdock in the face and fled the scene.

Murdock said the stabbing had no connection with anyone that attended the party.
