CROMWELL — Police said a man was shot in the leg at a New Year’s Eve party at the Crowne Plaza Hotel early Wednesday morning.
Police said the shooting happened as the party was ending and people were in the parking lot. Cromwell officers were on the scene working a private duty assignment at the party, and heard multiple gunshots coming from an area near the facility’s parking garage, police said in a news release.
Police said the victim sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to an area hospital for treatment. The shooting happened at about 2:40 a.m.
