OLD SAYBROOK — Police have arrested a suspect in a Durham gas station robbery last month.
Eric J. Griswold, 37, who has been staying at the Super 8 Motel on Spencer Plain Road in Old Saybrook, was charged with second-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, police said.
He was in custody early Thursday on $150,000 bail and scheduled to appear in Superior Court in Middletown later in the day.
According to police from the Troop F barracks in Westbrook, Griswold went into the Valero gas station at 384 Main St. Dec. 19 and claimed to have a weapon.
He demanded money from the clerk, took it and left.
No one was injured during the holdup.
