HARTFORD — A 19-year-old woman was injured during what appears to have been a shootout in the North End Wednesday night, police said.
The shooting happened about 9:50 p.m. outside 618 Blue Hills Ave., a residential neighborhood. The woman sustained a gunshot wound to her left arm and is expected to survive, Sgt. Edward Yergeau said.
Detectives are in the early stages of the investigation, he said, but it appears there was an exchange of gunfire.
“It looks like a couple of vehicles were probably shooting at each other,” he said.
The department’s Major Crimes Division is investigating.
