Crafting The Perfect Resume

Charles Botts, a trainer with CTWorks, has some tips on how to craft the perfect resume to land your dream job.

o Don’t just list your previous experience
o Don’t just list tasks and duties
o Do list achievements that could benefit the company you are seeking to join

The top half of the resume is the most critical. Here’s what should be in it:

o Your professional profile – overview of what distinguishes you – can be a personal or employer approach – do what’s right for you

o Your skills summary – five to six core strengths – be sure to pull many of these from the job description Accomplishments – should appear throughout your resume
