WINDSOR — Detectives are working to arrest a man and a teenager who they believe held up two stores in town, a police official said.

The two, who were known to wear puffy coats, also are suspected of robbing retail outlets in other towns along I-91, Capt. Thomas LePore said. In addition, they are suspects in holdups in Massachusetts and Rhode Island.

Windsor police suspect the pair robbed the Shell Food Mart on Kennedy Road on Sept. 15 and Windsor Center Fine Wines & Liquors on Broad Street Dec. 24, he said.

One of the suspects, Monchi Castillo, 23, of Springfield, Mass., was arrested Jan. 4 in Rhode Island after two robberies in that state, according to the Rhode Island State Police.

The 16-year-old was arrested Friday in Springfield, where he lives, police said.
