WINDHAM — Police arrested two people in connection with a reported home invasion on Back Road on Jan. 20.
Carlos Nadal, 23, of 166 Oxbow Drive in Danielson, and Cristhian Gonzalez-Diaz, 32, of 399f Jeffrey Road in Windham, were taken into custody by members of the State Police Windham Heights Task Force about 9 a.m. Monday.
They were both charged with second-degree conspiracy to commit burglary, third-degree larceny, first-degree criminal mischief and cruelty to animals.
Nadal’s bail was set at $150,000, and Gonzalez-Diaz’s bail was set at $500,000. They are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
State police are conducting an internal investigation into how long it took to respond to the initial call of a home invasion, said State Police Lt. J. Paul Vance. It took “an extended amount of time” for troopers to get to the home after the call came in around 4:30 p.m., he said.
