Bridgeport Building Badly Damaged By Fire

BRIDGEPORT — A building on Hancock Avenue was badly damaged Sunday morning after a fire tore through the building.

Officials said the firefighters responded to the fire at 880 Hancock Avenue just before 10:30 a.m. where fire was coming from the windows on the second and third floor.

There was no one in the building at the time, officials said, and the fire was extinguished.

No one was injured during the fire, officials said.

The fire is under investigation by authorities.
