PLAINVILLE — Police are asking for the public’s help in finding two men wanted in connection with a double stabbing last year.

Investigators have obtained warrants for the arrests of Ashwan Johnson and Ikem Johnson, who are cousins. Each man will be charged with first-degree assault and conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, Sgt. Nicholas B. Mullins said.

The two have ties to New Britain, Middletown and Hartford — where they are known to frequent the Gold Club strip bar, police said.

Both men are convicted felons and are aware of the warrants, police said. Anyone who knows where one or both men are is asked to call Plainville police at 860-747-1616, although police say the men should not be approached.

According to Mullins, on Nov. 21, Ashwan Johnson and the two men argued at a gas station Xtra Mart. Ashwan Johnson left and met up with his cousin, he said.

The cousins went to a nearby Taco Bell, where they coincidentally bumped into the two men, Mullins said. The cousins stabbed the men, one in his stomach and one on his side, he said.
