HARTFORD — A man was stabbed in the hand during a weekend argument over a parking space at Walmart, police said.

The fight broke out about 7:20 p.m. Saturday at the Flatbush Avenue store, they said. The wounded man told police he argued with another man over a parking spot, police said, and a third man began to wrestle him to the ground.

The first man he was arguing with then took a knife, the complainant said, and stabbed him in his left hand.

The two attackers fled and the wounded man drove himself to St. Francis Hospital and Medical Center, police said.

The man who did the stabbing was described as having a beard and brown hair. He was about 6 feet tall and weighed about 160 pounds, police said. He wore a black jacket and had a tribal-style tattoo. He also had a small knife, they said.

The man who wrestled the complainant to the ground was described as about 5 feet 9, 130 pounds and wearing a blue jacket, police said.

The men left in a car that looked like a Honda Accord or Nissan Maxima, police said.
