Say it isn’t snow.

With snowfalls mounting over a series of storms, Tuesday is expected to bring 3 to 6 more inches of snow.

The snow is expected to start falling around the time many people begin their morning drives to work, roughly between 6 and 8 a.m., FOX CT Meteorologist Joe Furey said Monday.

Snow totals will be higher in the northwest hills and less in southeast Connecticut.

It will stop as the evening commute is wrapping up, between 6 and 8 p.m., he said.

He said of the ride home: “That will be tough.”

The snow will be heavy at times, Furey said, and it may be punctuated by thunder.

Because of the nature of this storm, which is coming in from the west, one town could have a drastically different amount of snow than the town right next to it, FOX CT meterologist Dan Amarante said.

Although it feels like we’ve had snow every other day, the snow totals haven’t broken any records yet, the meteorologists said.

Connecticut has had 46 inches of snow this season, which is about average for a Connecticut winter.

Of course, the season isn’t over yet, Furey warned.

“If the pattern’s not going to change, beware of March.”
