NEW HAVEN – A citywide parking ban will begin at 9 a.m. today to give crews the time and space needed to clear the massive amount of snow accumulated on city streets.

A total of 39 streets have been chosen as “priority snow removal sites” and people who park on those streets are being asked to move their cars on specific days. The ban will be in effect on the following streets on the following days:

Monday

Marvelwood
Fairfield
Ellsworth
Argonne
Carmel
York Square
Henry
Harding
Lilac
Ivy

Tuesday and Wednesday

Maple
Norton Street
Stanley
Batter Terrace
Hotchkiss
Scranton
Irving
King Place
Edgar
Button
Wilson
Cassius

Thursday and Friday

Sheffield
Edgehill
Cottage
Avon
Canner
Clark
Academy
Hughes Place
St. Johns
Green
Wolcott
Shelter
Clay
Lloyd
Saltonstall
